Turbo 350 trans on 4.3

Default Turbo 350 trans on 4.3

Hey everyone i was wondering if a turbo 350 trans will bolt up to a vortec 4.3,becuase i can get one a lot cheaper than the 4l60e,i know it want have overdrive but i don't care just want to be able to drive it,i am also asuming it will need a different drive shaft,but i can make one of them

You will definitely need another driveshaft and I hope you are not 4wd... Your PCM (or ECU - really cannot tell as you have not listed a year...) may not like that the trans is not there...

It will bolt up. A TH350 is about 2.5 inches shorter than a 4l60e at the tailshaft for a 2wd. I'm not sure about for 4wd. Your computer will have a fit though.

Yes i have read about it having a fit,will the check engine light stay on or does anyone have any idea what it will do?is there anyway around it,i just want to get rid of the electronic 4l60e oh its in a 94 blazer,

IMO, it is just not worth the hassle. You will lose all of the benefits of an overdrive transmission. For less work, you can fix the problems you are experiencing with the 4L60E.

There is a way around it, but its easier said than done. What kind of price differences are you looking at to fix it the proper way? I'll bet if price is a problem you can find a decent trans at a reasonable price. The 4l60e is a great transmission. I agree with swartlkk, its not worth the hassle
