Default motor and trans swap

just wondering on this, i can get the 4.3 motor and trans out of a 91 dr s10 blazer for the price of free, how hard would it be to drop said motor and trans into my 88 2dr s10 blazer?

What motor is in your 88 now? Drivetrain configuration (2wd or 4wd) on both vehicles?

Is the 2.8L fuel injected? I think they were in 88...

If so, you should be good to swap in the engine/trans from the 91. You will want to swap the ECU over from the 91 as well. I am not sure if there were any wiring differences though.
