Default WooHoo! I got it started, but still need a part name

Well after gruelling hours of rooting and repairing my 93 Blazer, I finally got it to start up..(thanks to feedback here as well).. I knew it was either spark or fuel and came to the conclusion it was spark..
Although it wont start now, Ive located the area of the problem I've determined it's 1 of 3 things:
1)Either the spark plug wire behind the steering column
2)Either the spark plug wire in the middle (on the drivers side)
3)Or....this is the question I have...I dont know what it is but there is a circular steel base attached to the motor with a white plug/system/or sensor (located by the middle plug on drivers side) running out....attached to this white plug is a single grey wire that runs up and to a harness....and a red and blue wire run out the other side and up into the Vortec engine.

This white "plug" is loose and pretty crummy and I want to replace it but have no idea what it is..
Could someone please tell me what it is???? And could this be the reason the Blazer wont start or should I assume its the plugs wires???

I assume its not the actual plugs considering the Blazer WOULD start then NOT start after alot of jiggling down on those wires..Thanks a bunch

That sensor is the knock sensor, and the connector was never very tight on that sensor. If you have not replaced the wires then do so. Korey
