1989 passenger door hard to open help?
 
The door won't pop open you have to push on it. the rod and handle are all in tact, I cleaned and lubricated the latch what else can it be??? atfer I lubed it it did get better but won't pop open. :icon_fryingpan:its frustrating the hell out of me.

I assume the door swings freely once clear of the latch. Does lifting the door help?
Watch the door alignment with the surrounding body lines as you close and latch it. What happens? Does it 'lift'? If so your higes are worn and the door latch and striker are binding.

Readjust the striker for now.. plan to replace hinge pins soon before you do real damage.

cool . there is no play are the hinge pins hard to replace?

What do you mean there's no play? Where? If you cant find play lifting the door, then hinges are misaligned. Or worse.
Have you lost a body mount or two?
