1992 map light question

The drivers side map light in the overhead console of my 1992 blazer stay on all the time (the passenger side is off). The first thing I would like to know is how to open the overhead console to take the bulb out, as a quick fix. The second thing is has anyone else had this problem? The cargo light switch is off, the dash light switch is not all the way up, and none of the other interior lights are on, and if I press the map light switch it actually goes off for a moment, but then comes back on when I take my finger off. I would guess the switch in the light itself has gone. bad. Thanks for any suggestions.

Problem solved!

I finally figured out what was going on. This was my Dad's Blazer, and Mom just started driving it after he passed away in January, so neither of us knew much about its little quirks. Apparently if the rear hatch is unlocked using the key fob, the interior lights come on and will not go off until the hatch is opened and closed. The hatch does not appear to be open, that is, it doesn’t move away from the body of the car at all when unlocked. We tested this repeatedly and it happens every time. So if Mom inadvertently releases the hatch and doesn't drive it for a few days, the battery goes dead.

The solution is to have her peak out the window at night. If the lights are on, she just opens and shuts the hatch.
