See if you IAC is dirty, otherwise it could still be a fuel pressure issue. The 2inch hose between the fuel pump and the sending unit seems to be a problem for alot of people. Did you torque your plenum down correctly?

And when I said it was impossible to find a fuel pressure guage, I live in the mountains so I would have to wait for it to ship to me.

Would have been nice to have a gauge on there to watch if the injectors are still leaking or not... You really should order one. Its so handy and we dont need to make a zillion posts wanting pressure specs. Its how you are going to know if that little hose is bad or not too. Make your way to a princess auto store or one of those hydraulic places and just buy a small gauge and the fitting to mount it permanently on the shrader valve? I dont know what else to tell you. If you are not throwing any trouble codes, its most likely fuel issue, and if you cant get a pressure spec then we are left guessing.

And living in the mountains you gotta come down to get gas once in a while right? Where there is gas, there is parts stores, and they can sell you a gauge, its a very common tool and they will have one at napa or autozone. Its kinda a necessary tool for anything with fuel injection - most cars on the road.

the IAC is clean. i cleaned the whole plenum and all the sensors then put it back on and torqued to 10lbs going clockwise around the plenum. how far is the pin supposed to stick out of the iac. the book calls for no more than 1 1/8 in. whats yours at exactly? and how do you ajust the these ones? will try to get a fuel pressure tester tomorrow. thanks for your help

Throttle body may need to be cleaned if you did not clean it when you had it off. A dirty idle circut will cause this.

ok something new started the past 4 days. when i start it up in the morning it does NOT surge. it might do it faintly for like 5 seconds but thats it. i put it into reverse and it just dies. started it back up and started surging again. then put it into reverse and ran just fine, put it into drive and runs fine. put it back into park and starts surging. this was all done within a couple minutes of being started. any ideas? i will get a pressure gauge the 4th next month. dont have the money right now.

well dont have to worry about the surging anymore. came home from work and totaled it. hit a tree at 60mph head on. i was fine just quite a few bruises. but the kickass thing is that it still started right back up no problem at all. turned the key and it started first try. now thats pure chevy right there.the whole front end was pushed in. the fan was locked up so was the altinator. its all f'ed up. im lookin for another early s10 blazer. i cant live without one. she never let me down.

You sound lucky to have walked away from that wreck. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
