The radio is the easy one... You should be able to find an wiring and mounting kit to fit your application although I seem to remember some of the early years being quite limited.

The A/C on the other hand is going to take a LOT of work to change over. Unless you have all of the A/C tools/equipment in your garage already, it isn't a DIY type upgrade. If you do not have the equipment, it would be much more cost effective to find another Blazer with A/C already.

the radio part is really easy i installed my Alpine deck myself. just go to best buy or something and buy the deck and tell them ur installing it ur self and they'll give u a wiring harness and an adapter to hold the new radio. its basically match the wires together very simple and self explanitory. if u have questions just post up on here there will be someone to answer them

I installed a new Pioneer deck and just had to go to Canadian tire for a mounting kit to fit a Blazer ( $15 ) and they also had a wire harness ( $12 ) to adapt from the stock plug to the new deck, no splicing req'd. The only thing with the '86 is that the stock deck is quite shallow in the dash and all the new decks are a little deeper..you'll find that your new deck will stick out a bit more than the stock one did but the adapter kit does a good job of hiding this.
