94 Chevy Blazer 4.3 Vortec starts but then dies!

I have a 1994 Chevy Blazer 4.3 vortec and my truck will start up for a few seconds, but then dies.

I pressed on the gas and it doesn't even rev up :(

This is why I'm thinking it is a transmission problem

It is not out of gas.

Additional stuff's:

I am in really bad need of a spider fuel injector, any cheap sites?

Any suggestions?

Do I need to add more info?

Also, If it is the transmission this will make me very happy, because my sisters boyfriends dad owns a transmission shop and I can get this worked on for the low low.

Ps: If you read my other post about my cd player not working, I got it working and I got my 12's working too :icon_speaker1::icon_speaker1:

What is your fuel pressure? Should be 55-61 psi for a Vortec. I had this problem and the pump wasn't putting out enough pressure and finally was so intermittant it just died. Here's the website you need for the fiel injection.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say... Are you saying your transmission is causing you're motor to stall out, please clarify. If so, I'm gonna say your tranny is F'd, but check your fluid condition and level. Smell it and see if it smells nasty, kinda like burnt popcorn. You're spider injector should last you a long time and probably doesn't need replaced, just serviced i.e. new fuel pressure regulator and internal fuel lines. Best to pull the upper intake plenum off and look for shiny, goldish bare aluminum, most often found on the RH side due to regulator failure.

for quite some time my 94 would shudder at stop lights and idle terribly at start-up and finally just would not turn over. if you think you need a new spider i would not be surprised if that was the cause of this. check the upper plenum. if the passenger side is clean it s the spider. if the driver side is clean its the nut kit (the plastic fuel lines). if both still have some carbon build-up, then i would start thinking about other problems.
here is a link that might help you: http://robstark.com/graphics/parts/cpi2.jpg

i would suggest a whole new spider, not just the fpr, as well as a nut kit, and the gaskets that go along with it if you can afford it all or else you might be chasing this problem for some time without ever getting it quite right.

one last thought-have you changed the fuel filter?
