I have a 1994 S-10 Blazer (v6 - vortec i think) I just bought it and the gas gauge does not work...anyone know why or how I can fix it? Also, when I fill up my tank, if i add even 5 cents extra than full, a whole lot of gas spills out from the gas tank, i think around the passenger side...does that mean there is a hole in my tank? or is there some kind of over flow? please, someone help!!!!!

The Gas Gauge connector is by the rear bumber, unplug it and the gage should read full with the key on engine off. If it does not more than likely you have a short to ground or a faulty gauge. If you have a U-Pull It junkyard removing the dash cluster is not hard and you can get a junk yard gauge for cheap and try it out. I just had a faulty oil pressure gauge that I got one from the junkyard for less than 5.00. On yours though the gas gauge might me tied together with the speedometor.

Your cluster could be going bad, but try and check the connections, like suggested above.
Now with the gas leaking out, it sounds like your tank may be rusting out. I would get underneath the truck and remove the plastic housing and feel around the tank where you think its leaking from. See if you can feel a hole or something.
