94 S10 transfer case cable bushings
Hi all. Been having trouble finding the correct bushings; hope you guys can help. 1994 Chevy S10 pickup, extended cab, 4wd, 4.3L V6, VIN Z, automatic transmission.
The truck has manual 4WD floor shifter, with a New Process 231 transfer case. The cable that runs from the shifter to the transfer case is missing the little plastic bushings at both ends. I've tried two different Dorman products, and one from a Jeep (a vendor, bushingfix.com, said the truck uses the same bushings as a Mopar Jeep), but nothing fits. The parts are always too large to fit in the cable ends and over the pins. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...55bbdfdcd8.jpg cable at shifter https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...9802bba288.jpg cable at transfer case Dimensions in inches. :icon_angel: Do you have access to a lathe and know how to use it or know somebody who does?
That would be my fix. |
Check with Grainger. At one time they had a cable that could be used for a transfer case. They may have bushings that'll work.

Good idea. I'll see what I can find. Does anyone have a photo of what the original bushings look like?
