Barely runs, no idea.
'91 S10 Blazer, 4.1 4x4 @ 234,000~ miles
Issue: I start it, it tries to stay alive, until it dies. does this a lot. backfires here and there.
If I keep trying and keep pumping gas into it, she'll will eventually run flawlessly which is confusing.
Have had this issue for many months. It has only got much worse recently.
have tried: a new fuel filter, air filter, IAC valve, general tune-up
I keep looking around this forum for other ideas, but nothing really seems to working
we're clueless, help please

you have a 4.3 not a 4.1.
Remove and clean the egr valve. its behind the throttle body,little black round thing. you need to remove the tbi unit to get it out,clean it with brake cleaner and reinstall.

Cleaned it up, no help.
We also cleaned the throttle body a little, but no dice either.

I believe 42 came up;
42 – Bypass or Electronic Spark Timing circuit - The EST signal did not change when the ECM applied bypass voltage to the ignition module.

active module then wiring, followed by sensor.
