Hey guys, will the distributor out of a 2.8 fit the 4.3, any year?
I need to know if the dissy will fit the engine, regardless of the electronics.

I have never tried it... You could try searching on some of the parts websites and comparing distributor model numbers to see if they line up across similar years. Is there a particular year for each engine you are working with?

 

sure doesn't. the biggest difference is the oil pump driver. on the 4.3 its part of the distributor shaft. on the 2.8 its a separate shaft.
