Do 89's have a separate door & ignition key

I just got an 89. it only came with two keys, one for the ignition, one for the gas cap. The ignition key work in the ignition (obviously) and the tailgate. But I can't seem to get it to unlock the doors! Is there supposed to be a seperate door key or am i just being stupid?

Keys

My 89 has two separate keys. The iginition key is more square looking whereas the head of the door key is more round. I don't have a key for the gas cap. LMC Truck has these keys if you need them.

There are two keys. The round key should be for the door & tailgate and the square key should be for the ignition only. Your Ignition key should not be working your tailgate lock. Any locksmith can get the key code from the glove box and cut you a new key.

My 92 S10 Blazer came with 2 sets of keys , included 2 for the ignition & 2 that fits door and tailgate.

Square key is ignition on mine, and round is for everything else.

Yep. There are two keys. I think i'd ask the previous owner if he had the door key. It does the doors, back latch and glove box
