does not wont to down shift

I have a4.3 first time driving it yesterday and it seems to not won't to down shift. I slowed down to the guy in front of me turned and when I put my foot in it she just slowly Bilt up speed felt like I was in 2 or 3ERD GEAR HOW CAN I HELP MY TRUCK I WAS thinking of a new transit filter???

Have you checked the transmission fluid? Connectors and lines to the transmission?

count shifts, if your stuck in 2nd and 3rd, your shift solenoid just failed
