Fixed Trans problem on 1994 S-10... now no acceleration...
Ok, we took my wifes blazer to Cottman's Transmission here in Topeka KS. They are one of the best places. They test drove her blazer, to figure out what the reason she was holding the shifts between 1st and 2nd, and was shifting really hard, hard enough to cause the tires to chirp.... the result came back, a bad control module underneath the dash.
They replaced it, to a tune of $201.00. Now, she has barely any low end acceleration. You have to really get on the pedal if you want her to have good acceleration, and trying to get her to go up a hill from a dead stop, is enough to yank out any hair you have. I am going to call them on Monday. I am wondering if they installed one for a non vortec engine, or maybe it just wasn't calibrated, because even when she held the shifts, she took off like a rocket when the pedal was tapped, especially compared to now. any ideas why she is doing this? |
