Default Flex Hose On fuel system.

Hey guys Im currently doing a leak down on my 4.3 vortec CPI.

Im leaking about 40 pounds in about 8 mins. Im looking for the flex hose on the fuel system to pinch to see if she holds pressure....

I think Im just going to pull the whole intake cover off... I currently have the round black thing off under the vortec cover and I do not see any leaks on the regulator.
SO Im guessing its either an injector or the check valve on the pump. Im open to opinions.

just check the pressure at the inlet of the fuel filter. if it drops, its the pump. if it doesnt its the spider.

Well I found the flex hose.... And I pinched it ... I leaked down the same amount....

The FPR is not leaking but I cant see the injectors its self... I dont smell gas in the oil either.
Im thinking the injector is stuck open... but would this make my motor lack power going uphill ? IM at the point that I give up

there is only one injector on the spider in 95 and below, that controls the flow of fuel to the poppet nozzles. and very rarley see them leak that bad. only drip. its the same as a injector off a tbi almost. but in the very back right corner are plastic lines that run to the injecter or spider that get very small pin holes in them. just pull the top plenum off and look. and when its off turn the key and prime it and check for leaks. if there is any sign of a gold spot its leaking. and just looking through that little hole cant see everything. just taking the plenum off your only loosing about 4 bucks for a new gasket. but you will know what the problem is when you do.

oh could also be the rubber hose that connects the pump to the sending unit inside the tank. they usually get pinholes in them too.

One of my injectors is stuck open... I checked the whole system . I have no gas in the oil. I pinched the return line and she leaked down the same amount in the same time period.

Looks like im going to be spider shopping soon.

She still runs but lacks power at some points.... I also noticed a difference in my mpgs
