Free online chilton manuals for ANY vehicle

Just thought it would be useful for a lot of people on this site to gain access to chilton library online for free for any vehicle through the northern waters online library here's how...

go to http://nwls.wislib.org/#chilton
click on the chilton library.com logo
type "nwls" for the password
click proceed
and that's it!
hope this helps

hopefully this post is not against any rules for this forum....i will remove it immediately if it is.

awesome find.

But if it's like other 'finds' I've come across on the internet, if the link and pass gets posted on other sites, then other sites..... then when thousands of hits start going to that page someone's gonna know why traffic is grew by a bazillion overnight and change the pass.

I suggest removing the pass and having only registered members be able to PM you or someone else and ask for the pass.

Free haynes manual is on www.autozone.com. You have to register (its free) the vehicle you want (can do multiples) but I highly doubt they take it down.

that haynes manual is not as complete as the chiltons that was posted.

Also there has to be a reason there is a password. If they wanted it open for everyone with no checks there would be no password.

Just my opinion but who knows... figured it would better be safe than sorry :)

I'm aware its not as good and in the past been a big supporter of chilton over haynes. Now that haynes owns chiltons I don't see it being better for much longer. Just posting it up in case they do pull it down there is another option for somebody that is looking.

Me personally I own a full set of GM service manuals for my truck for a reason.

I'm sorry if I sounded like I was complaining I didn't mean to.... I'm new around here and grateful for all the tidbits and sites and tips and links everyone posts. I'm sure there's some who didn't know Autozone had those how-to's on their site. I just found them a few weeks ago myself.

I just like it when something like the Chilton's manuals get posted and hope they last as long as possible for everyone to use.
