Good lookin' truck ya have there. I had an '89 2 door, ran it just shy of 300,000 and sold it. Bought a '98 with 30,000 and still have it after ten years & 202,000 Probably keep it another 5 years or so then do it again, love those Blazers. No snow here in Michigan yet, but it'll be here soon enough, along with the salt on the roads.

I know a few old schoolers who will solder on glass, but like Hook said, if you're not careful...BOOM !!!! I've seen it, big mess......don't feel bad, there's a million blazers/jimmy's with this exact problem, lol.....including my own.....

alrighty i installed the window hinge
I connected the wires
I have power to the struts accept one plug and that wire gets hot
is that normal ? or do i have a short ? The wire that gets hot is on the passenger side by the body

It will get hot if there's a poor or loose connection, (high resistance). Check resistance with an ohm meter. Unplug both connectors from the glass, one of the connectors should show less than 5 ohms to ground, the other should show battery voltage.

on the driver side the wire coming from the body has 13 volts
the one on the strut going to the glass has 5 volts
passenger side has 13 coming from the window and 1 volt coming from the body
Im so confused

Resistance, not voltage, on the passenger side. Disconnect the wire from the passenger side at the grid. Measure resistance from that wire connector to ground, (not from the grid to ground).

i think the resistance is 70 if im doing it right
Im using a fluke 110 and i only know how to read voltage and ac with it
edit: i downloaded the manual let me check it again from the wire on the passenger side

Turn the dial straight up, to the upside down horse shoe, that is the symbol for ohms. Stick the red probe in the wire, and the black probe to a good clean body ground.
