Just got a 89 S10 Blazer 4.3 and it Randomly goes nuts! Crazy Oil Pressure and Stall
I just got this yesterday. This is mt first Chevy anything so i am a novice to this car. One minute the truck drives great, just like its supposed to. Then the next the idle turns to hell, Oil pressure gauge goes nuts, trucks starts to lose power and struggles to stay started, lights dims. It will do this for a bit, sometimes longer than other times. Then it will be normal again, perfect idle, driving smooth. All of this is random, happens at random times for random intervals. Any ideas?

Oil pressure is probably going nuts due to the fluctuation in rpm's of it dying. Seems similar to what i'm going thru. Is it only idle effected or does it lack power going down the road too?

Ive had it only 2 days so ive tried to limit my driving. Ive had it happen a few times after starting, while idle. Another time right as i was taking off, it was surging and and once up to speed worked fine. Another time as i was pulling into the gas station. 70% of the time it drives like its supposed too.

Also, there are 2 little nozzles at the top that squirt fuel down, one of the connectors on one of them is half melted it looks like. I cant find a replacement connector online, just keep getting injectors

http://www.s10forum.com/classifieds/...ct/58364/cat/6 Look like this? this is not a carb. It's a throttle body. Early form of fuel injection. Are both the injectors spraying fuel? They should spray in pulses and there SHOULDN'T be a solid stream of fuel down the center.

yea i realized that after i posted. Im used to my jap cars lol, i feel like an idiot looking at this stuff on the truck

Fuel Injector Wiring Connector | 1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer 2WD 6 Cylinders Z 4.3L TBI | AutoZone.com here is a connector from autozone. That looks bad but the important part is the contacts and to make sure they are spraying correctly.

I just found one at my local NAPA thanks for the link. IM hoping that maybe this is the issue,
