Default key stuck in ignition

My key got stuck in the ignition while the truck was running the other day should I just replace the ignition lock cylinder?

Sorry it took so long to reply I changed the ignition cylinder but I have now noticed a few problems after replacing it. I notice there is a substantial amount of play in the steering wheel especially when turning right. Also when I took the horn cap off the wire came off and I can't seem to get the wire to stay down in the hole for it to make good contact.

Anyone have any idea how to fix these problems?

not sure why you have excessive play now hmm maby the steering wheel nut didnt get tight enough. but for the wire in the horn cap. there should be a whit plastic peice on the end of the wire that has like small pins comming out of two spots. you just push in and twist. but if thos pins are busted or the plastic is busted insit the collum then just tac it in with super glue.

You should have just taken out extra car insurance and then left your truck in a bad part of town unlocked

Well I drove it around a bit after fixing it just to see and the play in the steering straightened out quite a bit but for some reason now there is a sound like plastic scraping when you turn left no idea what would cause that. I will have to take it back apart and inspect the plastic piece because I couldn't get it to fit back down in there when I tried it .

lol bertrenolds I would be pissed if someone ever stole my blazer or my daily driver for that matter.
