RE: Knock sensor

Another thread man... Please, PLEASE try to keep things together and in the proper section... As each of these problems you are having pertains to a specific generation of blazer, the appropriate place is in the 1st Gen Tech section. The Engine & Transmission section is more for problems with the hard parts of the engine & transmission (pistons, block, heads, clutch packs, etc) which are very similar across all generations.

*Moving to 1st Gen Tech*

There are two knock sensors on your motor. One is located on the driver's side cylinder head between cylinders 3 & 5. The other is located off the back of the passenger side cylinder head.

RE: Knock sensor

I checked the sensor and it looked like the plastic part snapped off of the engine block...how would i go about putting that back on or putting a new one back on?

RE: Knock sensor

The knock sensor should have a metal base to it. That threads into the block. The plastic is just the electrical connection.

The LH knock sensor should look like the picture below and is under AC Delco # D8003.

The RR knock sensor should look like the picture below and is under AC Delco # 21395

Also, just to warn you, I believe that both of them open up into the water jacket. I know that the one on the driver's side does.
