rear window broke - wires hanging -
all of a sudden my car will not turn over. i have to adjust my steering column. looked under steering wheel and noticed a red wire that is grounded and yellow very thin wire hanging, also gray and blk wire disconnected and a black ground wire on rt hand side are all disconnected. if i start to wiggle wires car turns over fine. what is going on. please help

i replaced battery, cables, wire on alternator, and fuse on top, alternator tested its fine, starter, tested fine... it has to be a short

 

You need to supply more info such as what are you driving, how long have you had the vehicle before the symptoms started, and when did you notice the wiring situation.

 

i have a 1985 blazer s10 2.8 liter... um my rear window shattered and i just have it left it alone. i started to notice it then. then i got in my truck one day and turned on radio and my oil light and battery started going crazy.i shut of my radio. the gauges spread jumping but when i got out of vehicle i noticed a red wire that is grounded to firewall and a yelow wire hanging.
and now when i turn ignition it slows cranks no turn over. but of i wiggle wires below my pedals or adjust steering wheel and tap on top of steering wheel it cranks over
