Need drivetrain feedback/help...

Hey all, I'm wondering what I should rebuild on my '92 S-10/Blazer. I want to tow a small economy "rice-burner" (Jap. import) behind it for about 3,000 miles. It has 170,000 mi. w./ a 4.3 ---V-6, and is a std. tranny w./ 4w.d.

Should I rebuild the engine, trans., and transfer case and 'pumpkins' front and rear too? Are any of these units prone to failure during towing in anyone's experiences?? I'll need to use the 4 W.D. often during the winter months too. If that helps any?

Will a unit like this w. "onl" 170 or so h.p. be able to tow a small car? the tow-car will be on a dolly, or be towed w./ just a tow bar. any advice on which is better to tow with using my Blazer?----Thanks!
