Need some help

Just wanted to know if anyone can help me out?
I have a 89 S10 Blazer and when I was going to start it it turned over but didn't start. So I tried it again and there was no power when I turned the key. No lights on the dash the brake lights don't come when you step on the peddle. The radio won't turn on. The heater motor won't work.

Lots of power on the battery it just not getting to the ignition.
The only things that work are the head lights and the dome light.

If anyone could help me out that would be great.
Thanks[/align]

RE: Need some help

Check the battery cables. If you used a multimeter to check the power, then you didn't get an accurate power reading. it might read 12v, but as soon as you put a load on it, it drops to 10v or less. Try to jump it off from another vehicle and if everything is proper, then take it to your local parts store and have the battery and charging system checked out. If you still get nothing, then it's probably your cables, but it sounds like your battery has called it a day and clocked out.
