No dash lights
Hello all, let me start off by saying i am new to this site and not to the blazer. i have owned 2 of them and now i just was givin last week a 1989 with the 4.3 in it. And oh boy she was looking fine hardly any usual rust for a kansas blazer. But any way on to the problem at hand. After replaceing the batt starter and plugs and wires it finally started. But it was off two wires on the cap were switched and yeppie she runs like a Champ. Anywho yesterday was my first time driving her at night and no fridgen dash lights. So here i go checking fuses and tearing the dash apart for blubs and checking wiring and still nothing. Could it possiblly be the headlight switch itself. Or is it the 5 wire conector that is hooked to nothing. Tho it has crossed my mind it dose seem to missing the switch for the rear defrost. i am at a loss electric is not my strong point. Help would be wonderful. dieseldave
yeah thats what somwone else told me. dimmer switch. and no its not turned down all the way, but is always important to look at EVERYTHING. could be a combo i am going to do the dimmer first and see what happenes as i have no test light or a dmm.
Turns out it was a fuse. BUT there was no fuse in place for it so thats why i over looked it being a fuse. Was tryin to fix my rear window defrost and fixed dash lights instead. Shakes head and sighs. [sm=bangbang.gif]
