NOT seeing this so I'm gonna ask

I have a 1993 vin w 4.3 that's not getting any fuel. It just turns over and over, I have replaced the CPI, fuel filter, ignition coil, distributor cap and rotor but she still wont start. I can lay under it and put hand over the exhaust and its just straight cold air there's no fuel smell. I spray starter fluid directly into the intake and she start then die. over did that once and she let know it by trying to blow my ears drums when she backfired stupid me but anyways....

Please any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Does the fuel pump run? You should be able to hear it. There's really no use in replacing any more ignition components if it starts with starter fluid.

try beating on the tank with a rubber hammer while someone cranks it. its possible to jar the pump enough to get it on to let you know its bad.. my 93's pump is loud as heck

had someone turn on the ignition and listened to the pump. pump sounds bogged down so I'll hit with a rubber hammer and if that don't work I'll replace it...

Thanks for the reply's and the fuel pump idea

make sure to stick with ac delco or delphi. these blazers eat cheap pumps like candy.

Don't just keep throwing parts at this trk!!! Do yourself a favor and properly diagnose the problem... U really need to check fuel pressure!!!!!!!:icon_mrgreen:yes it does sound as if this is your problem...however there is a sticky somewhere on forum to help u properly figure out the issue at hand.....& also like the previous poster said only use delco, or a Delphi pump!!!!! U can search ebaymotors and find just the pump for cheap, unless u need the whole pump hanger assy

checked fuel pressure she's only at 38lbs ignition on motor off, payed a pretty penny got ac delco pump and strainer from dealer. I'm basicly doing a part by part rebuild right now just to keep her running until I can get another truck.

Sorry to hear u had to pay dealer prices!!!! Has this solved your issue? :icon_mrgreen: these are decent little trks , seem to have lots of issues with them.....lol me personally haven't had any luck with Chevy, but mine was super cheap and highly neglected mechanically.....so I can't blame that on it being a Chevy.....however previous owner ran the hell out of it for 170k before selling it cause it wouldn't run anymore.:icon_steer:

SHE lives again replacing the fuel pump worked like a dream... Thanks everyone for the help :).

Well now she has a new problem.... run fine gets up to temp and just dies if I don't give her a little extra throttle instead of letting her idle and she'll die if I'm just cruising along and not pounding on her.... I figure I'll ask on here before I go blowing money again.
