oil lines

i have an 89 s 10 blazer with a remote filter on the fender, i want to remove the lines and go back to the filter under the motor, where can i get the right parts for the filter assy?

Assuming it is a 4wd, you have to use a remote oil filter. There is not enough room for an oil filter in the normal location.

You could also try buying the short filter and trying it, I have never tried though. My blazer takes a WIX 51036 filter, and a 51040 is the smae thing but shorter. My cavalier could use either, so I imagine the truck can use either too.

You are having a prolblem with it leaking, try removing the remote filter assembly and taking it to a hydraulic shop, the guys there will be able to remake it for you around fourty bucks using the old ends and new everything in between.

If you are leaking you could also replace the oil lines. I had a leak on the remote lines and was able to get new ones from LMCtruck. They weren't too expensive, but not cheap either...
