Putting the spare on the back of an 85?
 

My spare tire takes up too much room in the back of my truck. Is there a kit or something for mounting it on the outside of the tailgate? If so how hard is it to do? Otherwise I guess I will just throw it on the luggage rack.

Go take the rear mount of a junkyard truck, then mark and drill the mount holes, then remove the right tail light, and weld the nuts onto the inside of the rear panel, and bolt her on like a newer 90s model has on the back. I carry mine on the roof.

Other than a couple straps across it what are some ways to put it up top?
