Default random problem

My little truck lately has liked to up and die on me. It doesnt happen for days sometimes, and sometimes twice a day. It seems that if I give it 1/2 throttle its fine off lights. But if I mash it, it gets up to about 4000rpm and sputters so I back off the pedal, this wont happen everytime, but i think i can feel power loss at high RPMs. I never drive like that though, Im a slow casual tune listener. Sometimes cruising at 60 it will cut out, I get no throttle response, the RPM shows idle, and the engine is running. If I click into neutral it dies, if I cruise to a stop it does at about 10kmph. Sometimes as I am slowing down it will just come back to life and thats it. Sometimes it will die just after pulling out of my driveway, sometimes I go for days with nothing.

When its dead and I stop and put it in park, it will not start that second and will just crank, but wait 30 seconds and she starts right up. Today I tried stopping and quickly cranking it until she started which took about 15 seconds instead of waiting 30 or more seconds. It starts to want to run and then vrooom its all good and I made it home.

Yesterday I splurged and grabbed a new relay for the fuel pump for about 15 bucks and swapped it. seemed good going to work, but today going home it acted up twice on me.

What should I do? Ive left my gauge on, and when it dies I leave the key ON and I open the hood to look at it, its still showing me less than 58psi it has while running. I am not ever getting any engine codes, even while its acting up. So Im thinking its not a problem with the electronics, and that its fuel supply related. maybe my pump is crapping out on me? Ive only ever had them just die, not do any of this random stuff.

yeah it sounds like something with the fuel pump, shorting out or something.

Awesome, i guess I have quite the repair order this weekend. Was gonna get cracking on the front suspension rebuild this next weekend, but I guess Im doing a fuel pump and maybe tank if its all rusty...

I will leave the gauge on and keep tabs. I wish there was something like a noid light that I could have to see if the pump was losing its power as I was driving around... That would be the giveaway.
