how long would you guys run seafoam in your crankcase before changing the oil ,and also can you put some in the PCV hole like the can says?

This is something I've never heard of. What is seafoam what is supposed to do?

Check the forums. There is a link to the Seafoam site. It works quite well in cleaning out your system and you get a nice smoke show too.

Yeah maybe I should have done a search but I've this damn head cold for a week now and cant do things normal but to the point. I've used GM's Top End Cleaner and had great results from it. Besides have to do it very carefully and changing the spark plugs afterwards it did one hell of a good job. Did it to my 92 Pontiac.

GM Top Engine clean is one hell of a product. Seafoam is a great alternative and I have used it MANY times to ger rid of the carbon buildup in the induction system of todays engines with EGR valves. I have never used Seafoam for any other purpose than a top engine cleaner. I have never put it in the oil or in the fuel.

You will need to atleast pull and inspect the plugs after using Seafoam down the intake...

There are much better products that I would choose before Seafoam for the fuel (Chevron w/ Techron at EVERY oil change for me and mine).

I have never put anything but oil in the crankcase. Todays oils (as stated previously I think) have enough detergents that they don't sludge up as easily and actually clean the combustion byproducts out of the engine. I have noticed that after using synthetic for awhile in my vehicles, the oil doesn't come out as dark as the conventional oil does.
