which side of the block is temperature sending unit
 
which side of the block is the temperature sending unit on?( 1994-S10 Blazer- 4.3L -motor) I know one side is the oil unit and one side is the temp unit but which side, and how hard is it to change? P.S. THANK YOU GUY FOR THE HELP SO FAR THE BLAZER FROM HELL IS FINALY RUNNING!!!

pull one out if theres coolant on it its the right on it you got a winner! or buy a new one and compair the plugs if you dont wanna pull it out.

Nope, looking for coolant won't work. IIRC, you'll have a temp sensor on the passenger side head between the 1st and 2nd cylinders (from the front) on that head. On the driver's side between the 2nd & 3rd cylinders (from the front) on that head will have a knock sensor. Since the heads are identical, both sensors are exposed to the water jacket in the head.

Your temp sensor should be located as I have stated above, but do compare with the new sensor to make sure.
