Default Skipping

We got a 93 S10 Blazer that you may have seen in the for sale section. Haven't had any luck although we have had people come look at it. I have decided to try to fix it and maybe then it would be easier to sale. We got it running by replacing the fuel pump, but ever since then it has been skipping. We replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, and distributor cap and it still skipped. I heard that a common problem was the EGR Valve so we took a look at that but it didnt seem to be stuck, it actually looked like the guy we bought it from had just replaced it. Any other common things I could check out before takin it to a mechanic?

Default RE: Skipping

'Skipping' - can you be more specific? Is it hesitating, missing, surging, etc? Does it do it at takeoff, under acceleration, while cruising?

It does it all the time. It does't seem like it is losing any power but you can hear it missing. I can actually record a sound clip tomorrow if that will help any.

just a wild guess but could it be a timing issue? my truck was skipping and some other stuff but new sparks fixed the skipping so that really has no bearing on your problem.
