tranfer case?
 

I have two first gen models, a 1986 s-10 blazer with a 2.8 and a 1991 s-15 jimmy. I was wondering if it is possible to take the transfer case of the blazer and install it on the jimmy? the jimmy transfer case is destroyed so my 4x4 doesnt work. the blazers works but the tranny is shot. the jimmy has a 4.3

Do both have automatic trans, and are both of the T-cases the same (check small circle number tag on back of T-case, should say NP-XXX) If they are the same, I cant think of anything of the top of my head that would stop you from swapping them.
