hello, out for a good mud bog and was pretty deep in the water. got through the mud hole and just stalled. will turn over but won't fire anymore. wondering if maybe sucked water into intake or if plugs got drenched, any ideas. 1990 S-10 Blazer, 4.3 tbi

Pull off your distributor cap and dry it out in there. if you sucked an intake full of water bad things would happen not just wet plugs - motor wouldnt turn anymore with a cylinder full of water. you can get little rubber covers that go over the dist so that doesnt happen when water splashes on it.

i'll try that thanks, figure it's an electrical thing. going to snorkel it to stop sucking in the water. looks like a major pain in the **** to change the plugs. even a latex glove taped over the distributor should do the job?
