Wheel Wiggle

I have 89 S10 4wd auto. When I jacked up the front end, there was a lot of play in the passenger wheel. I could wiggle it easily. I can feel the alignment is off when I drive. Any ideas?

I would say wheel bearings.

if it moves up and down as well as side to side(or like this X), wheel bearing. replace it before you drive it, your wheel can fly off if it's bad...

if it only has up and down play its ball joints, again, replace before you drive if they are bad they can come free and either shove your wheel into the fender or come off completely..

if you can just move it 9 and 3(side to side) check your tie rod ends and idle arm, etc for where the play is comming from. get one person in the truck to jiggle steering wheel back and forth as you inspect your steering components.

Thanks a bunch. Sounds like tie rod ends
