'00 Blazer LT 4dr front end squeak turning and driving
Ok so about 5 months ago, my buddy and I did a front end rebuild. New control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends. Replaced the shocks 2 months ago. Everything was greased up with the rebuild and I greased up the tie rod ends when I replaced the shocks (just to make sure they're good). Now the past 3 weeks I am getting an awful squeaking noise with the slightest movement and bumps as well as when when I turn the wheel, whether I am moving or not. It sounds like rubber on rubber sometimes and others is an actual suspension creaking but I can't track it down. Drivers side is worse than passengers. I sprayed some pb blast lube on the shocks mounts and bushings but to no avail. Any clues? I looked all over the site and can't seem to find anything that describes this. Some came fairly close.

Check sway bar end links as well as the frame mounts. You can have someone jounce the truck while you hold the end link and see if it's that. There is also a TSB on a squeak caused by the hood hinge with the remedy being cone washers. GL!

This is odd as you already did the homework and found the usual culprits! I would try shooting all new bushings with WD.You did replace the bushings as well right? Newbiet is right on as well, but all of that would have been already evident once you got into the job! Sounds like the control arm bushings were NOT replaced as claimed by this "shop"-in my experience:these are usually the noise makers, after the ball joints! Take a close look!

Ok will check the sway bar linkages. As I stated, my buddy and I did the work ourselves. He and I are pretty darn auto savvy but here and there we get stumped lol. The bushings and tie rod ends are brand new (moog). That's y we are kinda standing there scratching our heads lol. I replaced the sway bar end links and bushings to the frame with great able ones from energy suspension last year but will see if something jostled loose. Thanks for the ideas
