Default '01 Jimmy Underhood Fuse Box Question

Hi folks,

New to the forum but not to fixing autos.

Our good old '01 Jimmy is getting a bit long in the tooth and has developed a rather nasty intake gasket leak.

In the course of getting to it I am trying to get the plug out of the underhood fuse box for that big harness that GM so kindly ran (tightly) right across the intake manifold. I have the bolt in middle of the plug loose but the plug is not coming any further out of there and I am leary of doing any prying on that box/plug.

Anyone ever pulled one of these out and know the trick to it? The Chilton's manual does not say a word about it (not that I am surprised).

Thanks
D

Pry away. The pins are disengaged once the bolt is free. The only thing left is to get the rest of the plug out of there. I have just rocked the plug back and forth while pulling on it to get it out of the fuse block.
