05 chevy blazer PCV valve smaller than usual
Have one of last 2005 Blazer since new. Can not find new PCV vavle. GM ac/delco will not fit into my valve cover grommet. My PCV vlv. is about 2/3 of the size of the one the GM garage sold me. Truck came with this vlv. Any idea?? Been to all the after market places. They all sell an equivalent to the stock vlv and all are also to large for the hole?? Please help with PN# if possible.

This looks nothing like what I have. It does say it will fit but looks totally different. I see a member from Winnipeg had the same problem some time back but never said how it was resolved. I'm wondering if its a Canadian last of the 05's change. I bought my blazer in Winnipeg also that summer. I'll try to take a picture? Please help Bri.

Here's what he said:
--Has anyone changed the PCV valve on a 2005 Jimmy? All I can find is a hollow thin metal tube where the PCV should be on the left valve cover. It's not like the 2000 Jimmy I had where the PCV is on the valve cover. The 2005 hookup connects to another fitting nearer the throttle body and looks like the setup for a PCV on a 3.8L V-6 (2003 Monte Carlo) but I can't find a PCV inside.
They sell the old PCV at a parts store for the 2005 but it won't fit the smaller opening.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
--I finally got to GM parts counter and got the guy to look it up. It shows the routing to a metal sleeve on the rocker cover (as I see on mine). There is no PCV valve on the 2005 4.3L V-6 just in case anyone else goes looking for it. The 3.8L V-6 has a similar setup but does have a PCV valve under the cover on the end of the block near the serpintine belt.

this was back in 2010 but I am trying to reach him to see how he solved it????????/

Went to the parts counter and picked up a pcv valve since I was eating a lot of oil!
Went to replace it and the pcv valve on my blazer (05 bought November 2004) was smaller and hollow... The part I purchased would not fit.. I guess there is not PCV valve as it was just a metal hollow connecter will different sized holes...
