Question 1995 blazer sometimes starts sometimes needs help

I currently just put my 1995 blazer back on the road after waiting for a transmission for about 6 months, i have been running it for a little over a week now and have developed a new problem that i cant seem to understand. Most of the times it will start no problem other times i have to spray a little bit ether in the throttle body to get it to start. i have replaced a lot of parts over the past two years, fuel pump fuel sending unit, injector spider, fuel filter, tps. sensor, map sensor, o2 sensors, full tune up with replacement of distributor, most vac lines under the hood, with all these parts been replaced i cant see why i would have any problems at all starting. Also i was working on a cooler line leak today and started it up to check if i fix the leak and it ilded a little rough, turn it back off and started it again and it ran smoother go figure. Any suggestions????

When you replaced the spider, did you also replace the 'nut kit' (internal fuel lines)? If not, then you may have a leak inside the plenum. A fuel pressure test should tell you whether that is a possibility or not. The fuel pressure must exceed 55psi with the pump running and should not drop below 50psi 10minutes after the pump shuts off.

Sounds like a fuel problem, if it starts when you spray it..Have you checked your fuel pressure? I found out the hard way, just because you replace something doesn't mean it's good.

It has been sounding like a fuel problem to me as well, everything inside the plentum has been replaced, the spider that i purchased had 6 lines for each cylinder and two that hooks up to the side of the plentum. i have not checked my pressure cause i do not have a tester thinking bout getting one soon, i am also thinking bout buying a plentum gasket and open things up to see if there is a clean spot inside the plentum, thought of this after going through things on the website. hope i do not have to replace the spider again cost me $378.00!!!

update: open up the plenum today and the regulator side was clean so i figured my regulator was leaking. Replaced it now i guess back to running it and see what happens.
