Default 4WD HI light only flashes, but 4WD works.

I have a 2004 blazer. When i push the 4 HI button it flashes and never goes solid, but the 4WD works fine. When I push 2 HI it flashes for a moment then goes solid and the 4WD disengages fine. Shouldn't the 4 HI light go solid after a few moments? What's up with that?

Thanks for your help!

If that checks out, then you may need to dig a bit deeper into the system.

For those with the NV233 transfer case (3-button dash switch), there are some pretty good threads in the Tech Article (DIY) section.

For those with the NV236 transfer case (4-button dash switch), you need a scan tool capable of accessing the TCCM to read the codes present for some direction.
