1997 Sonoma Crank/No Start Bigger issue
While out on my first look into the no start situation I went straight to the listen for the fuel pump. Hearing no pump I began to diagnose with a test light and a multi meter.Checked the 9 fuse for ecm power and did have power. Checked power @ the relay and have constant from battery.
Today while checking the prime function for the pump I glanced at the guages. There was nothing. No lights no movement on any guages. I went and hooked up my obd 2 scanner and it could not see the ECM.
I'm thinking it is bad due to the owner crossing the battery jumper cables which are laying nearby.
Any help?

Bump and problem solved
Went to salvage yard and got extremely lucky. Found an exact match ECM in the first vehicle I walked up to. Paid $32.00 with warranty.
Swapped the ECM and still no link to my scan tool or lights on the dash. Went back to the electrical diagram.
Followed the path from the battery to the fuse then on to the ignition. Turns out all dash lights came back and it started when I applied pressure to the ignition electrical connection. So I spent $32.00 I did not have to but I have a lot of spare parts for the s10 model.
I have one more trip out as I did not have the necessary tool to disconnect the harness.
