Default 1999 lt 4 door heating/cooling problem?

I have automatic setting on my in the cab temp gauges, and when I set it to 66(lowest) and put both direction and power on auto, I get 5 seconds of hot air, then semi warm air. The act compressor has been shot for a little while...any ideas on where to begin to look? Thank you.

When I turn on the air (doesnt matter cold or hot) and turn the power of the air to auto, or any of the settings fast or slow nothing comes out the vents, 2 days was working fine like it normally would then the morning i wrote the first post it didnt work. Im trying to find out what these symptoms would indicate. Not that i cant live with it for a little while, but id like to get it fixed next thing after i replace the power steering pump. Thank you.

So when you turn on the fan, whether it's for ac or heat, you don't get any air from the vents? This just sounds like your blower motor went out, but your posts are hard to understand.

Well first off are you saying that when you turn the system on you don't get any air out of the vents at all? Or are you saying that you are only getting cool air out of the vents?

Your posts say you get cool air for 5secs, then your other post it says they do nothing at all.

All I can make of this is at 66 degree setting should give you cold A/C air. Is the A/C compressor turning on? If your not getting any air or short period of air then nothing you need to check for possible vacuum leaks or blower switch problem or a control switch issue. Personally I have a 98 with climate control system & I dislike it. My next Blazer will be like my 97 manual control.
