Default 2000 Blazer no spark but cranks fine

Ive got a 2000 chevy blazer that just recently stopped starting. It was driven to work, and then after when i went to start it, it clicked like the battery was dead and then when jumped it just cranked. Replaced the fuel filter and the pump primes ao its still good, but its not getting spark at all. Tested at the plugs and it just recently got new plugs and wires.

Work your way backwards from the plugs to find out where the failure is occurring:

no spark at plugs

is there spark at the coil output?

is there pulse input to the coil

is there pulse input and proper power to the ICM

you can also go the other way and start at the ICM

Just to cover your bases: Do you have fuel? You might also check the pressure in the fuel lines.

Have you checked that the coil wire connection at the distributor is on snugly? Sometimes the boot hides the fact that the connector is not on the fitting.

...and what brands of the spares did You use? You haven't mentioned the distributor, but, as, for example, I've ordered a distributor rotor once. Brand new, came with "made in china" sign. By looking the quality I've decided to stay with the old, worn out one. There were already some topic where people posted the photos of the poor quality distributor not matching or falling apart.

I got my Blazer cheap because it would crank, but not start, and the previous owner had already replaced a ton of parts trying to get it to run before he finally gave up.

The problem turned out to be a hole burned in the middle of the cheap replacement rotor. The spark was going to the distributor shaft instead of the spark plugs.

A guy got rid of an entire Blazer because it needed a new rotor? I won't throw out an old pair of jeans with holes in them. LOL.
