hi!

first post here, long time lurker. I just bought a 2000 Blazer LT 2wd, loaded up the wazoo. There's a cel antenna on the passenger side rear glass, leading to a couple pieces of electronics in the passenger side rear cargo area, hidden under the plastic fascias. Is that the Onstar stuff? I will never use that stuff, and could use that area for something else. Is all that junk removable? I have the auto-dim rearview mirror, is it controlled by any of that?

 

that's the onstar stuff.. i don't think it would harm anything to remove it. ( you couldn't use it anyway.. it's analog which is no longer available)

yep. but might have trouble getting it off tho

 

I use to be in the sign business, so cutting through that kind of glue pad is old hat. A piece of fishing line or even dental floss works best to cut it off, then some lacquer thinner to remove the glue. Thanks for the info.
