Default 2002 blazer. low power kinda

hello, so im having a problem with my 2002 blazzer. il give you a run down. awhile ago when driving home she just shut down on the high way. tried to start her back up a few times and she would just crank and then nothing. she would not even try to crank. also before this i had herd a rattling noise coming from the distributor. so i after some diagnosing . i found starter to be bad. also distributor was bad. huge amount of play on the rottor pulled it and found the teeth on the shaft where pretty much shaved off. so replaced both. she starts but lacks power.
i she runs good but its like cant get the power to the wheels. she also does not want to shift well. what i mean is if i floor it the rpms will climb and red line but she takes a awhile to shift into the next gear. i did a 0-60 mph and took her 39 seconds to reach it. i have no check engine lights after driving for 30 mins. also she will get up to 75 but just takes forever. i am a diesel mechanic but i work on semis. while some of that experience helps, my diagnosing skill is lacking here. im just stuck no clue where else to code since i have no codes to go on. any suggestions?

Is it possible you got the distributor in a few teeth off, retarding the timing? Could explain the lack of power, maybe

hmm maybe but i think thats a low chance only because she installed perfect. she was top dead and was right where u want the rotour
also a reason i dont think its that is because she is throwing no codes if i was off a tooth she should throw a cam sensor code

I would start with looking up the calculated load value in ECM. The shifting depends on the load value.

You found the teeth on the distributor shaft shaved off? Those metal particles go somewhere right? Not sure an oil filter can get 100% of that crap filtered. Maybe suggest doing a compression test on the engine and see if you dont have some cylinder damage due to all the debris that was floating around.

Just an idea.

When changing the distributor I guess you did a correct alignment of the ignition afterwards?
When being off by a bit this also can cause low power.

alignment of the ignition? can you explain? the only way i know how to do a distributor is to put it in tdc and make sure it all lines up when installed.

Have to wait for someone to expand on the 2002 models.
Distributor ignitions normally need to be properly set or re-set after swapping a distributor.
Just having it on the TDC does not mean it's at the "exactly" correct position. Every degree on the distributor translates into two degrees crankshaft being off on the ignition timing. 3 to 4 degrees can already make a big difference in power.

I don't know the 2002's ignition, so we'll have to wait for someone to enlighten us on that one.
