Default 3 Water Pumps Later..Any Suggestions??

Hey guys. I have a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer and I am having the craziest issue in the world. My mechanics at meineke have replaced my water pump 3 times within this month, and are unable to diagnose the problem with my car just yet. The last water pump that I received lasted for about a week and a half..I had a GM water pump put in, bolts, screws..head gasket. the works, and the other night i had the same thing happen with my truck all over again. Has anyone repeatedly had trouble with their water pumps on this car?? Another thing, i just installed a Spectre Cold Air Intake probably 3 weeks before this problem. I highly doubt that the intake is creating that much more pressure on the water pump. It passes the pressure tests..dunno what's wrong with my Chevy. If anyone has had similar issues, or knew why i'm going through water pumps like crazy..please let me know!

In what way have the pumps failed, weep hole, shaft failure,or the impeller in it. Unless there is something else wrong you shouldnt go through that many that quick

Are they installing the correct Water Pump? The serpentine belt engines require a reverse rotation water pump! Also make sure that water is flowing correctly and is not blocked, sometimes your heater core can be blocked with sludge from the Dexcool coolant having access to outside air... Also you might check your radiator cap, if you replace it then you should use an 16lb Camaro cap since water under greater pressure will require higher temperatures to boil...

i called him up today and he said that he'd try to repair the 4 holes on the engine block, he said that's the only thing that he could think of that would cause the water pump to fail continuously..i'm thinking if he installed it wrong..it wouldnt have passed the pressure tests, or the drive afterward. My guess. so, i'm gonna take it in and let him do this with the engine block, and see what i get. another thing. if i have to get a new engine for the blazer, has anyone tried a ls1 conversion for it?

We really need to know the nature of the failure first...

If it is just blowing out a gasket, then it is possible that the faces on the water pump are not flat or there is something holding the pump off of the front of the engine, keeping it from putting proper pressure on the gasket.
