Default 40 a plug is a plug is a plug?

Hi y'all I'm an ole' gear head from the sixties and went thestation wagon family man way for the last 40 years but now I am back and just got my first 2001 BlazerLS 2wd,4.3l, well it didnt take long for old habits to emerge and I started with 20" wheels, cold air k&N, 180 degree stat, and am about to shave that pesky half moonoff my throttle blade. What is the best spark plug for this year model and that may be a little better than OEM? I'm not fooled by those split-multi electrode plugs, I just want a good stock or better plug..any suggestions? peace, boulonman

From what I hear, that half-moon thing, is something you want to keep, so the EGR gasses are spread evenly through all cylinders.

AC Delco Rapidfire plugs are supposed to be really good...

You've gotta get some pics up!

Best plugs are stock AC Delco Double Platinums.

And I'm about to return to stock on my throttle plate. Only thing that changed was throttle tip in. WOT didn't change.

Boulonman,

Welcome to the forum, I will tell you from experience that the throttle blade from a cadillac northstar is the same size as the TB from the 4.3L V-6, it does not have the diffuser and it bolts right up to the throttle blade arm. And as far as Spark plugs you could use the AC Delco double platinum, I used the NGK platinum TR55 G-power and they have been fine for me.
