Default 95 Blazer 4.3 4X4 Having serious problems.

Hello, I hope someone can help me. If I can post a question yet. I was having a problem, it was sputtering like it was going to die. If I let off the pedal it would level out and keep running. Then she died, and it took a while to start again. Then she wouldn't start anymore. Determined it was the fuel pump. Replaced pump, strainer, and new fuel filter. She started and ran for about 6 miles, but if I gave it very much gas she would sputter like she was going to die. I was on my way to the Zone to get computer to check for any new problems or maybe tell me why she was running funny. And she quit on me and now she won't start and stay running. Its like she starts and then she dies. I have noticed several people specifically say to use ac delco or delphi for my replacement parts. Well Autozone does not carry ac delco or delphi parts. Any recomendations. I cant work if my trucks down. And now I am broke and my blazers not running. Please some one tell me what to do. Thanks in advance. Jcshelby. 501-216-6921

You should start with fuel pressure and leakdown test. It should be about 60 and haveno leakdown within 10 minutes. You can rent a gauge from autozone. Do the test with key on, engine off. Post back you numbers.
Also, probably not the best idea to post your phone number lol.

Welcome from VA!! Do some searching around and post your questions in the proper tech sections (as per forum rules) and you will probably get more answers.

When she was running, my bil, checked. It was 60 with no bleed down, but if you gave it any gas he said it dropped down to 40. He worked at Pep Boys for 10 years, he is really good. But at the moment he has a lot of stress from bills and friends and family asking him to fix their vehicles. I am in a big bind myself. If my Blazer isnt running, I'm not making any money. Whats next. Have to get her running. And school starts in a month.

I have traced the problem to the main fuel supply line from the fuel pump. The rubber line that the fuel pump line goes in was twisted. So I wasnt getting any fuel. It would start because I was cycling the key to hear the fuel pump. It had enough gas to start but that was it. Thanks for helping. Will look forward to asking for help the next time. Have a good one. And stay cool, its hot out there.
