ahhhhh the retaining ring, I thought that you already had seen that, sorry about that.
I know on my first gen, I got the retaining ring off, and the lock plate would still not come off because of those screws. Glad you got it figured out.
and I have always said with working on cars... if it goes as easy as planned, something was missed, removing or putting it back together.
and you are correct, the 95 is a weird year, multiple different variations in that year, so its tough to find anything specific.

any no start problems?
i have an automatic 96 jimmy 4wd and replaces the ignition lock cylinder because it was becoming hatd or impossible to turn. before switching it out, it started up...after replacing the lock cylinder it will not start! there was no chip in the key and i dont believe to be any type of security system. anyone have the same issue or know how i can fix it? any help is greatly appreciated. my poor babys been sitting for like a month now!
