replaced nut kit, spider, and another pressure regulator on top of that. still getting fuel pooling in plenum and gas smell. not major, but enough to notice. gas mileage is only down a little at 17.5, and still a small catch in the idle. every time I open it up and clean it out and replace the plugs it runs great for a week, then starts again. I know this has been beat to death, but I can't find the leak for nothing!

My mind is going, on that fpr is there a gasket, are there one or two hold downs , if two could one be cross threaded , making an angle and a leak. Sorry haven't been in mine for about two years. Seem to remember a safety torx someplace in there.....

Thanks, I'm open to anything right now. I'm gonna tear back into it and make sure everything is tight, straight, and coupled good. Hopefully that will work.

Are you 100% sure its fuel and not trans fluid being sucked from transfer case? Doesn't explain fuel smell but I chased a similar problem and found a bad seal letting trans fluid into t-case and getting sucked into intake via vacuum.
just a thought.
